Technology Counter Sites Back In Action
submitted by MobilePC 216 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
Last year Pligg (a Digg Clone) was installed on the domains Tablet PC Counter and UMPC Counter. The hope was to get article submissions specific to the Tablet PC and UMPC and have the community rate the articles - aka - digg.com style. The site failed because RSS imports were not available and the maintenance of the site was too great for the amount of time available. Plus, after posting to a blog,

VIDEO - MTube hands on
submitted by UltraMobileLife 216 days ago (via feeds.ultramobilelife.com)
I managed to snag one minute alone in a storage room with the MTube this afternoon. This thing is so small, I can't believe it's a full PC with a 1.0GHz processor. It just blows my mind having such a small device in my hands. Looking back over my video, the thing is so small that it makes my hands look rather large. I don't mind, the thing is going to be a blast to play with when it comes out. I h

Chris Paris is a very active GottaBeMobile.com reader and forum member, helping others in our forums with tablet pc issues, etc. He's written the following article for us on how to blog in ink using Word 2007. - Chris Paris  I've been an early adopter of using MS Word 2007's blogging features, having used it for various blogs -- via WordPress -- since the software came out. Here's the

Intel shows of MIDs / UMPCs aplenty at IDF
submitted by Engadget 214 days ago (via engadget.com)
Filed under: Handhelds, Tablet PCs We already caught sight of one Mobile Internet Device that made its way to Intel's currently-happening Developer Forum, but it looks like that was just the tip of the MID iceberg, with at least five other devices also making an appearance in prototype forum. In addition to that BenQ unit, the prototypes include devices from Asus, Compal, Elektrobit, Inventec and

[Wired] Review: Fujitsu U810 Tablet PC
submitted by John 214 days ago (via blog.wired.com)
For this flawed masterpiece, a shock-haired mad scientist trained his shrink ray on a tablet PC, then ran shrieking from his creation when he tried to run HD video on it. It is nearly small enough, nearly powerful enough, and nearly cheap enough to be a no-brainer acquisition for anyone wanting an easy to port tablet sized notebook.

Fujitsu U810 Lifebook Review - From the GBM Forums
submitted by GottaBeMobile 213 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
Fujitsu U810 Lifebook Review By Jeff Christiana 10/17/2007 (First Impressions) Today I received a wonderful treat…. What sits before me is a little bundle of joy from Japan. My newly adopted Fujitsu U810 Lifebook! When I removed the plastic from the little package, I saw before me the smallest laptop I have ever seen. There are no pictures that can truly show off what a marvelous pi

MTube Interface
submitted by UltraMobileLife 213 days ago (via feeds.ultramobilelife.com)
I snuck a few photos of the MTube when I ran into it on Monday and I've put them up in the UMPC Gallery. However, the best thing I got this week is an image of the application launcher and I'll run through what each of those icons stands for. What you will notice from the list is that there is a huge emphasis on video playback and internet connectivity. Oh, and please pardon the lack of details be

Fujitsu LifeBook U810 Tablet PC Review
submitted by TabletPCTalk 211 days ago (via tabletpctalk.com)
When Fujitsu announced the LifeBook U810 mini Tablet PC, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. This tiny tablet has been getting rave reviews and after spending some time with it I can see why. I am not saying it would be a good permanent replacement to a full-size tablet or notebook, but it is a great travel companion. It runs on Intel's A110 processor and has a 40GB hard drive. The 5.6-inch WS
