N810 Specification details.
submitted by UMPCPortal 398 days ago (via umpcportal.com)
It's very tempting to focus on the new processor, memory and flash specification that doesn't really show much of an improvement over the N800. Shame on CrunchGear
submitted by GottaBeMobile 398 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
I can't believe what I just read. CrunchGear.com, a supposedly reputable tech reporting site, is telling folks how they can get Leopard for $40: The writer, Vincent Veneziani, recounts how he did just that: lie by getting a student to buy it for him, then split the license with a friend ( ie piracy ). An article endorsing fraud and piracy. It is unbelievable and unthinkable that a news rep

Review: Gateway C-120X Tablet PC — Let's Do The Twist
submitted by TabletPCTalk 398 days ago (via tabletpctalk.com)
WIRED The touch sensitive screen adds valuable functionality; no longer are tablet users slaves to the almighty stylus! Plenty of thoughtful features like a fingerprint scanner, DVD burner and FireWire port. TIRED Extra layers of the screen dulls image and appear grainy. Speakers are loud but tinny. Users must manually change screen orientation. Only 2 USB ports. (Source: Danny Dumas, Wired Bl

MTube Interface
submitted by UltraMobileLife 398 days ago (via feeds.ultramobilelife.com)
I snuck a few photos of the MTube when I ran into it on Monday and I've put them up in the UMPC Gallery. However, the best thing I got this week is an image of the application launcher and I'll run through what each of those icons stands for. What you will notice from the list is that there is a huge emphasis on video playback and internet connectivity. Oh, and please pardon the lack of details be

submitted by GottaBeMobile 397 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
Ok - this has to be one of the coolest things I've seen in a while, and it gives me hope that Microsoft gets the usage scenario potential for multi-touch on a mobile devices like tablet pcs and ultra-mobile pcs.
