Craig Pringle Goes Hands On with the Fujitsu U1010
submitted by GottaBeMobile 400 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
We’ve recently seen some reviews of the Fujitsu U810, and now Craig Pringle has gone hands on with the U1010 (same Stormtrooper, different model designation based on geography). One thing to note from his review:The screen is crystal clear.  The native resolution is 1024x600 so you get a fair bit on that little screen.  Naturally on a small screen there is not much room to write,

Last month, OQO attended the Wired Nextfest and came out with this little video recap of the fun time they had there. Looks like they were a big hit and lots of people enjoyed getting their first hands on experience with an OQO model 02.

How To Blog in Ink Using Word 2007
submitted by GottaBeMobile 399 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
Chris Paris is a very active GottaBeMobile.com reader and forum member, helping others in our forums with tablet pc issues, etc. He's written the following article for us on how to blog in ink using Word 2007. - Chris Paris  I've been an early adopter of using MS Word 2007's blogging features, having used it for various blogs -- via WordPress -- since the software came out. Here's the

HTC's Shift runs Vista (for 2 hours?) not Windows Mobile
submitted by Engadget 399 days ago (via engadget.com)
Filed under: Handhelds, Laptops, Tablet PCsHTC's Shift: runs Windows Mobile right, after all, it's an HTC device? Nope, Vista Business Edition. That Windows Mobile looking UI we've seen is HTC's "SnapVUE" shell, an advanced BIOS with support for some of the same applications you would see on a Windows Mobile device. So while you won't get voice capability or Windows Mobile Office, the Sideshow-lik

Education Goes Wireless
submitted by GottaBeMobile 399 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
I've become even more interested in articles discussing using Tablet PCs in education now that I'm actually back in school again. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has a nice article today covering several colleges that are increasing their use of Tablet PCs and wireless Internet access. I know that my school (Portland State University) seems to have WiFi available everywhere. For some students

REVIEW - Gigabyte U60 gets Tweaktown's best value award
submitted by UltraMobileLife 399 days ago (via feeds.ultramobilelife.com)
I just saw this review of the Gigabyte U60 UMPC over at Tweaktown and they had a lot of positive things to say about the device. Their monster seven part review pores over every detail of the U60 and they even put it through a battery life test, the results are quite impressive:After letting it run for 45 minutes, you can see that there is a steady and consistent discharge rate, and based on the a

[Wired] Review: Fujitsu U810 Tablet PC
submitted by John 399 days ago (via blog.wired.com)
For this flawed masterpiece, a shock-haired mad scientist trained his shrink ray on a tablet PC, then ran shrieking from his creation when he tried to run HD video on it. It is nearly small enough, nearly powerful enough, and nearly cheap enough to be a no-brainer acquisition for anyone wanting an easy to port tablet sized notebook.

Export Your Drivers Across PCs
submitted by GottaBeMobile 399 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
When you are setting up a new Tablet PC or UMPC one of the things on your check list is to make sure you have all of your drivers moved to the new device. This little utility, DriverMax, might just be the cool tool you need to make that chore a little easier. DriverMax lets you export all (or those you choose) of the drivers on your XP or Vista system to a folder or compressed file. Once you&rsqu

Fujitsu U810 Lifebook Review - From the GBM Forums
submitted by GottaBeMobile 398 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
Fujitsu U810 Lifebook Review By Jeff Christiana 10/17/2007 (First Impressions) Today I received a wonderful treat…. What sits before me is a little bundle of joy from Japan. My newly adopted Fujitsu U810 Lifebook! When I removed the plastic from the little package, I saw before me the smallest laptop I have ever seen. There are no pictures that can truly show off what a marvelous pi
