Super large multi-touch LCDs coming from LG
submitted by Loren 130 days ago (via lorenheiny.com)
LG will be showcasing at CES two large, mutli-touch LCD displays: one 52 and the other 84 inches. Yes, these are large displays. So how does the multi-touch work? IR sensitive cameras (I believe they are mounted on the frame of the unit) are used to detect one or two points of contact. You can use fingers [...]

LG Prepping Large Multi-Touch Screens
submitted by GottaBeMobile 130 days ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
We’ll be keeping an eye out for this at CES. LG is going to be showing off multi-touch displays at CES in both 52 inch and 84 inch varities. Supposedly they are the largest multi-touch displays yet. From what I’m reading in this Electronista article they use an IR interface to register only two points of contact. With Bill Gates reported to be showing of the Surface Table during

Head over to Digital Lifestyle, where the fire is hot and they are ready to giveaway an HP HDX Dragon. Warner, Matt, Sierra, and I had the pleasure of meeting Ian Dixon, the site owner, this past year at CES and highly recommend his site to you! UMPC Portal publishes an interesting review of the Samung Q1 Ultra UMPC from Cristian Soregia, a digital photographer, who uses the UMPC for his work. Well worth a read as Cristian walks through how the device works for him and the pluses and minuses he sees whether through a lens or not. Cristian Soregia’s blog, Ricoh GR-Diary is located here. Tags: Samsung+Q1+Ultra, UMPC Originally Po

The BUILT Laptop Bag
submitted by GottaBeMobile 13 hours ago (via feeds.feedburner.com)
We’ve been showing off a number of gear bags lately, but I’d like to see Rob or Sierra review this one. We saw the BUILT Laptop Bag at CES earlier this year and thought it was both kinda cool and kinda odd. It looks like some from of body armor but it isn’t bulletproof. It can carry up to a 17 inch laptop and will set you back $80 for that faux SWAT look. Via Gizmodo Tags:
